Giving an insight to how colour can be used to improve our quality of life and help us to be more balanced, you will learn a breadth of techniques to incorporate colour into your daily life and healing work.

Looking at chakra health, colour preferences and our lifestyles it becomes easier to make positive changes with the therapeutic use of specific colours.

In turn, the use of specific colours can assist us by shifting our mood and perceptions to create a more harmonious environment – there is a reason why big business employs the skills of colour psychologists in all aspects of their designs!

The workshop  includes a wealth of information, meditations, activities and personal development. A starter set of coloured silks is also included in the fee to assist you on your colour journey.

There are many different methods of cleansing your silks, from the physical hand wash to the energetic waves of sound from Tingsha bells or a singing bowl.  We will describe a few methods here.

Breath – This method is completed by sending healing breath into the silks.  This method involves visualisation, literal breath and the intent to cleanse.

Aromatic scents – This method involves burning herbs, plants or incense  known for their clearing and protective qualities.  An example of this would be burning  dried sage.  The burning smoke can be wafted over the silks, again adding intent that the scent and smoke clear the silks.  Please be aware that not all of your clients may like these scents so choose with care.

Crystal cleansing -  This method involves placing a self cleansing crystals such as Citrine on top of the silks with the intent to cleanse.  The crystal should be left in place until you feel the task has been completed.  You can also programme a quartz crystal specifically for the job or cleansing. This would become a very powerful tool but don’t forget to cleanse the crystal too!

Moonlight -  This method involves leaving the silks in the light of the moon, intending for the lunar energies to cleanse and revitalise the silks.  Different phases of the moon can be utilised for greater effects such as the waning moon used for a deep cleanse and the waxing or full moon used to revitalise the healing energy of the silks.

Sunlight – This method is not recommended for our silks as some of the dyes (especially the blues) are not as light fast as the other shades.

Wind – This method involves wafting the silks or leaving them on a washing line in the wind intending that the wind element clears and transmutes any non positive energies that are left on the silks.  Take care with the amount of direct sunlight they might be exposed to aiming  to avoid any fading.

Sound – This method employs sound to cleanse the silks.  This could be the sound emitted from a tuning fork, Tingsha bell or singing bowl.  You could instead chant or tone into your silks. Mantras such as Om are very powerful and easy to remember!

Reiki – This method asks you to simply charge the silks with reiki until they feel cleansed and revitalised.

Flower essences – This method is similar to aromatic scents where the energy of plants are used to cleanse the silks.  Flower essences have the advantage of being scentless and are very powerful.  Spraying above the silks with a clearing and cleansing essence is all you need to do.

Intent -  This method is the simplest of all but does require that your mind has clarity and full faith in its ability to manifest.  You must focus your mind so that you see, feel and hear that the silks are cleansed and revitalised. Practise makes perfect with this method!

Angelic assistance – This method calls upon the support of the angels to cleanse and revitalise your silks.  You may call forth Archangel Raphael the angel for healing or even Archangel Michael to transmute any non-positive energies.  You could keep it even simpler and ask for the cleansing and revitalising angels to help prepare your silks for their next client. Just remember to say thank you

The process starts with meditation to connect with the angel where beautiful visions and messages are shared.  These then form the inspiration for the hand made Angel. Each Angel comes with their name and a special personal  message printed onto card.

We will be spending some time today creating Power Animal Silks.  These are silk scarves inspired by totem animals.  Our first animal will be the peacock who has been shimmering through our vision too often to ignore any longer!

Peacock has a wealth of energy and lessons for us, each as beautiful as its plumage.  We can learn to walk with self confidence using our inner sight to delve into our past lives, karmic connections to our present and our future.

Peacock is a symbol of integrity and the beauty we can achieve when we endeavour to show our true colours. An opportunity to act with nobility and joyfully share our highest self.

We will remain open while we create and share any other insights that Peacock delivers as we are certain Peacock’s lessons are plentiful!

Our clients may like a sunflower yellow but have an aversion to a deep mustard shade, showing an imbalance in the solar plexus. Another example would be when a rich orange is too strong for an initial treatment and a soft peach would open the sacral chakra more gently. Each client presents the therapist with a complex array of needs and so shade varieties in each chakra colour become a must have tool for the experienced practitioner.

When creating our products we always use crystal elixirs, sacred sound and pure intent.  We are focussed on ensuring our silks will vibrate with healing energies for both the customer and their clients. This layered  love approach got us thinking…  who makes the silk? Is it mass produced?  Is it made with love and a merry heart?

We set out to probe our suppliers  and are sorry to say we did not get very far at all!  Our main silk satin supplier has a policy in place to keep their trade route top secret.  We headed back to the drawing board a little disappointed from the brick wall response but determined to find another way to silk made from the heart.

Luckily, synchronicity was in our favour and we have been very fortunate to develop a connection with a family in Thailand who are currently nurturing their silk worms in preparation for this years silk harvest.

We often ponder the symbolism in our surroundings and frequently listen for advice from the loving wise ones that support us.  This sometimes means that our cameras are filled with quickly taken snapshots when something important seems to light up in our path.  The need to ‘get back on it’ and create the rainbow chakra silk was made extra clear  when we reviewed our double rainbow  photograph and realised it was next to a motorway sign shouting ‘Work’!   Enough said.

So, thanks to the wise ones and the wonder of nature you can expect to see some rainbow chakra silks in our e-shop very soon!
